Private Client | Proprietary Info Removed
Overview
The client is a 5000+ employee, privately held organization with 8 different divisions focused in the tire, energy, and transportation industries. Being so diverse and having high frontline turnover, they sought a consistent way to engage new team members in their amazing culture within the first month of their employment.

What I Did
In collaboration with cross-functional colleagues, I identified crucial elements and created a one hour program that incorporated company history, values, and storytelling. Every other week, I collaborate with a senior leadership team member to deliver the training to all new hires.

Results
Within one year of implementation, 100% of new hires received this in their onboarding. This created a shared language across the organization and a greater sense of belonging as evidenced by engagement survey metrics. This directly contributed to the "amazing culture" strategic initiative identified by the business.

Consulting with partners in warehouses, on the frontline, and operational partners, I developed key competencies for leaders and transitioned our 6 week virtual program to a one week in person program.

Results
Satisfaction scores for the program increased by 50%. Additionally, through the use of assessment centers, we were able to see an average of 20% improvement from day 1 to day 4 on key competencies identified.
Food Center & Pantry Volunteer Experience
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee
Overview
In 2020, the UWM Food Center & Pantry was in need of a scalable way to engage a variety of volunteers. This was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and so it was necessary to do this virtually and independently to ensure safety. However, as director, I still wanted this to be a meaningful volunteer experience.

What I Did
After mapping the volunteer experience and identifying key knowledge, skills, and abilities, I developed a training for volunteer teams to take prior to their attendance in the pantry. For those not comfortable or able to volunteer in person a partnership packet was created to ensure fundraising initiatives were truly impactful, and to top it all of a reflection packet was created to drive learning transfer.
Results
As evidenced in the infographic, the UWM Food Center & Pantry was able to serve over 50,000 pounds of food within 6 months over 72 distribution hours. Each distribution session was 4 hours, which means that 18 different teams utilized this volunteer orientation.
Student Appropriations Committee (SAC) Training
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee
Overview
The Student Appropriations Committee allocates hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees on an annual basis to registered student organizations. For many members, this committee is their first exposure to parliamentary procedure and policy interpretation.

What I Did
Over a semester of advising, I tracked common questions and issues that arose. I then developed, in collaboration with the student leader of the committee, the training below with the goal of making it engaging and educational while still communicating crucial process information.
Results
The following semester had increased productivity. The grant process ended two weeks earlier than the prior semester and students had fewer disagreements. They had higher speed to proficiency, directly attributed to this comprehensive training.
